A small backpack with things you might need for the camel ride and an overnight stay in the desert camp. A scarf, a hat, sunglasses, good walking shoes and wet napkins can be useful. If staying at the Comfortable desert camp, you will need to bring your own shower accessories and a towel. To have a comfortable camel trek, we advise to wear jeans, trousers or long shorts.

The sunset camel ride is about 1 hour and sunrise trek is 40 minutes.

It is possible to skip the camel ride. But to get to the desert camp you will need either to walk with the guide (about 1 hour at sunset and 40 minutes at sunrise) or take 4×4 which.

In winter temperatures fall dramatically and it can be freezing at night, please bring warm sleeping clothes with you.

4 days/3 nights from Fes to Marrakesh with the fabulous driver & guide Ahmed We were traveling from Fez via Merzouga to Marrakesh in private 4x4 since we thought it was the best option to go at our pace. Now I can say It was really the best decision not to share the van with other travelers as some other travel agencies offered us. We could not be more satisfied with the course of our traveling. The camel ride and the sunset in the middle of the sand dunes, starry sky in the desert, the tea with nomad people, exploring oasis, traditional Berber carpets workshops, passing through Tizi n’Tichka pass in High Atlas Mountains …an unforgettable experience. Everything was great: the landscapes, the hospitality of the people where we stopped, the places with excellent dinners and breakfast we have stayed overnight. All services were beyond our expectations! Our trip in Morocco was amazing and unique especially because of our driver and guide Ahmed. The beautiful tour in the company of an excellent driver who had not left any of our questions unanswered or needs unfulfilled. Traveling with Ahmed we have been able to look at Morocco through the eyes of local people. We returned home richer and more open-minded. We spent amazing 4 days in Ahmed's company, traveling around like to be old friends. Amazing 4 Day Tour Desert Fes to Marrakech! My boyfriend and I booked a 4-day tour from Fes to Marrakech with Morocco Packages Holidays. I booked it through email with Said and he was prompt with emails and helped me figure out how to pay the deposit through Paypal (I was having some issues). Our tour guide and driver Mohamed was great! He picked us up at our Riad in Fes and we were with him for the next 4 days. He described the areas we were driving through and made a lot of pit stops for us to take photos. He even bought us cherries as a snack and made sure they were thoroughly washed with bottled water. The second day of our tour was the first day of Ramadan and even though Mohamed was fasting he was a great tour guide. He was never frustrated and always had a smile on his face. The hotels we stayed in and the campsite in the desert are fantastic. Looking back, the only thing that we may have changed is doing the 3-day tour rather than the 4 days. The extra day of activities (seeing a bunch of gorges) was not as exciting as the other days. However, I do appreciate that doing the 4-day tour was not rushed.

Fes to Marrakech in 4 days My husband and I just completed our 4-day desert tour Fes to Marrakech. We had one night in the Dades Gorge and 2 nights in the desert. Everything was perfectly organized. Our highlight for us was hiking in the Dades Gorge to visit a Nomad family living in a cave...it was so peaceful and authentic and there was not a single other tourist in sight! I would highly recommend booking through this company if you like pain-free, well-organized vacations to remember. You do spend a lot of time in the car so be prepared for that. We comfortable sat in the 4x4 with ole ty of room for 4 suitcases.
